"As" published an article by reporter Alfredo, criticizing the current Real Madrid president Florentino for canceling the traditional Bernabeu Cup before the new season (a tribute to Real Madrid legendary chairman Bernabeu).

Alfredo wrote:

Bernabeu Cup has not been held since 2018. I thought of this when I saw this year's Gambel Cup. Even without a (fixed) home court, Barcelona continued the Gambel Cup event with many difficulties. All previous Barcelona presidents believe that the commemoration of the club's founder should be continued and listed as a priority for work. Barcelona fans are grateful and enjoyed it because this is the first time they have been together after the summer break and the moment when new players appear.

Florentino doesn't seem to care so much about demonstrating the achievements of the Bernabeu. It was the great man of the Bernabeu who created the great Real Madrid that Florentino yearned for in his teenage years. Of course, Florentino admires the Bernabeu, because he is moving along the Bernabeu's footsteps and doing what the Bernabeu did, which also allows Real Madrid to regain its former glory. But in my opinion, Florentino's cold and unexplained cancellation of this event paying tribute to the Bernabeu seems narrow-minded, perhaps due to some kind of jealousy.
