Recently, in an interview with "Marca Radio", Getafe Club Chairman Angel Torres severely criticized the proposal to arrange Villarreal and Barcelona's match in Miami, USA before the new season in La Liga.

He expressed his explicit opposition to the decision and was unhappy with the decisions such as La Liga without adequate communication with other clubs. Torres believes that this practice exposed the problems of Spanish football.

He said: "Two or three days ago I thought it was a joke because at least no one had asked for my opinion, and these are things that need to be carefully considered." In his opinion, if La Liga claims to be one of the best leagues in the world, it should not seek attention abroad, but to let those who want to learn come here.

In addition to criticism of overseas games, Torres also accused the unfair treatment of the economic control policies implemented by La Liga. He said that in order to register new players, he had to sell excellent defenders in the team at a low price: "I had to sell a top central defender at a very low price just to ensure that 16 to 17 players can participate."

Torres complained that the big clubs enjoy privileges, while the other teams were forced to give up key players: "There are two leagues here: one is for the top five, and the other is designed for the remaining teams, and we can only rely on the youth training system."

He also pointed out that the current situation of many players not being able to register on time has damaged La Liga's image globally: "We claim to be the best league, but we even use it as a whole. The lack of transparency and delays in administrative procedures have increased uncertainty between fans and players: "These issues should have been handled more carefully, and for the league, the media and others, we only seem to exist when money is needed." He also expressed his anger at the possible complicity between La Liga, the Spanish Football Association, the Sports Senior Council and the big clubs: "At least, it should be explained and discussed to all 20 teams." Torres insisted that such a move was obviously for the benefit of a few.

Nevertheless, Torres revealed that he would file a formal protest at the next club meeting and requested an explanation. At the same time, he said he would continue to work hard to strengthen the team's roster under the existing economic conditions: "If I can maintain a full roster of 22 or 23 people, I will do my best, otherwise we will deal with it with the existing resources."
