The 26-year-old Naples defender Bekma said at the pre-match press conference against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League that he hoped that his performance in Naples would attract the attention of Dutch national team coach Koeman.

What do you think of the experience of joining Naples in the past few months?

Bikma: Sometimes I still have to pinch myself and remind myself that I am playing for this club. Everything is very different here compared to Bologna.

You were once the main player in Bologna, and now you have received many opportunities in Naples, but the national team seems not to have opened the door to you yet.

Bikma: I came to Naples just to improve myself. If I can continue like this, I hope to be called up (by the national team) at some point. But now I'm just focused on Napoli.

Your career has been on a steady rise from Forward Eagle to Alkmaar, then to Bologna, and now to Naples.

Bikma: I've always wanted to play for a top club, so this is great. In terms of passion, it's ten times more intense here than in Bologna. I still remember us traveling around in those minibuses during pre-season. We were driving pretty fast, but people would still jump in front of the cars. It shows how important the club is to the city and the people.

Bosz (PSV coach) joked that he had "bad memories" of you because you pushed his son Gino to the bench at Goabo.

Bikma: I got those quotes earlier today (laughing). That was under coach John Stegman. I could have left the Forward Eagle at that time. Then I started competing with Gino and my development accelerated from there.

How does it feel to return to play in the Netherlands?

Bikma: It feels good to be back in the Netherlands.
