Assas reported that the renovation of the Bernabeu stadium encountered budget overspending and noise problems.

Bernabeu Stadium is close to full operation, but the process is not easy. The initial budget was 575 million euros (plus close to 800 million after financing), but it was quickly exceeded. The total cost has risen to about €1.6 billion due to underground facilities and inflation, and may also increase. One of the main problems is noise.

In order to make the stadium compliant with regulations and avoid more conflicts with neighbors (the concert organizer has been fined 2.6 million euros), Real Madrid Club handed over the project to industry expert Arup for handling. The goal is to comply with regulations and resume concert activities. Some concerts scheduled for the Bernabeu have been cancelled, such as the performances of Dellafuente, Lola Índigo and Aitana. As for whether the 2026 Bad Bunny performances at the Metropolitan Stadium will be held at the Bernabeu, it is not yet clear.

Another issue focus is the Sky Bar Stadium Bar, although Real Madrid is the victim on this issue, the 700-square-meter restaurant and nightclub, the club is expected to generate €15 million a year. Club insiders told Ass that it was ready to open, but the opening hours were repeatedly delayed. Because the original operator, Anastia Gourmet Hostelería, deceived the club and the suppliers who prepaid funds. Worse, Anastia also sued Real Madrid, claiming that the latter would not allow it to operate its "its own" space. The case is still under trial in court and Sky Bar is not yet enabled. Finally, it's the parking lot problem.
