According to CBS scout Adam Finkelstein, Walter Clayton Jr. had several trials at the Heat, and he canceled some trials at the end of the first round.

Clayton is one of the best pitchers in this year's NCAA semi-finals, scored 34 points and 4 rebounds, 11 points in the finals (all in the second half), 5 rebounds and 7 assists, and won the MOP (most outstanding player).

At this year's draft, the Heat held the No. 20 pick in the first round.
