Speaking of Naz Reid's contract renewal, McDaniels said: "I am of course happy that Naz can come back. I have always told him to make the most favorable choice for me —  Of course I hope he stays, but the final decision is in his hands. So, I am really happy and lucky to be able to keep him."

"Think about it, I, Edwards and Naz, we have worked together for this team for five or six years, and now everyone has great confidence. We, the young core group, dare not say that no one can stop us, but as long as everyone insists on training hard and keeps improving, it is difficult for anyone to stop us."

In the offseason, the Timberwolves renewed Naz Reid for 5 years and $125 million.
