Former Seattle Supersonics player and Lakers assistant coach McMillan was interviewed by TMZ today. During this period, he did not actively support the Thunder to win the championship, but hoped that the NBA could bring the team back to Seattle.

Speaking of the recent performances of the Thunder and Alexander, McMillan said that although Oklahoma City has a good team, he is more concerned about what the league needs to do for his old club (Seattle Supersonics). He said: "We miss the Supersonics, they have to bring this team back. It's a great team with a long tradition and a brilliant history. There is no doubt that the NBA needs to get the Supersonics back."

As a player who has played for Seattle Supersonics for 12 years, McMillan recalled the 1990s calling it the best place to play, and he said: "It's really great there."

Unfortunately, because owner Clay Bennett failed to get financial support from the new arena at the time, the Supersonics moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 and changed their name. In recent years, the alliance has been discussing military expansion and plans to reconsider the issue at its July meeting this year.

Although the veteran NBA coach talked about the Supersonics that year, it was obvious that his priority was the Lakers, who expressed his expectation to help the team prepare for the 2025-26 season. “We have a offseason to work hard and we’re already working on it,” McMillan said.
