Pelicans officially announced that the team has hired former Suns assistant coach Mike Hopkins as assistant coach and player development coach.

Mike Hopkins worked in college basketball for a long time, working as an assistant coach at Syracuse from 1995 to 2017, and served as head coach of the University of Washington from 2017 to 2024. Last season, he joined the Suns as an assistant coach.
