According to previous reports, due to being traded by the Mavericks, Doncic missed the super maximum salary contract this summer, but he can sign a four-year, $223 million contract with the Lakers, or choose a shorter three-year, $160 million contract (including player options), so that he can reach the conditions for playing in the NBA for 10 years in 2028, and thus sign a five-year, $418 million (the specific amount depends on the change in the salary cap).

Doncic's existing contract expires in 2027, of which about US$46 million is the 2025-26 season, and the 2026-27 season is a player option worth US$48.97 million.
