The Miami Heat announced today that they have signed Achouwa and cut off Gaibu Madson. According to team policy, the contract details are not disclosed.

Achuwa was selected by the Heat with the 20th pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft. He played for the Knicks last season, playing 57 games, averaging 6.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. He scored in double digits in 15 games. In addition, Achuva has made it to the playoffs four times in five NBA seasons and has played in 320 regular season games so far, playing for the Heat, Raptors and the Knicks.
