According to the Guardian, Bale was hired as a commentator by TNT Sport to be responsible for commentary work in the Premier League and Champions League matches. The commentator who previously held this position was Manchester United star Ferdinand, who chose to leave after working with TNT Sport for 12 years.

At the highlight of his player career, Bale won five Champions League titles and three La Liga titles at Real Madrid, before he went to the FC to finish his career at Los Angeles.
