According to well-known reporter Romano, Barcelona has appointed Amaral as the head of scouts.

Romano revealed that Amaral became Barcelona's new scouting director, and the appointment has been completed and will take effect immediately. Barcelona director Deco trusts Amaral very much and the two have a close relationship.

Amaral is a Portuguese, 38 years old, and served as the technical director of the Portuguese Super League club Rio Avi last season.
