In the first round of the Champions League stage, Leverkusen drew 2-2 away with Copenhagen, and Leverkusen defender Konssa accepted an interview with the media after the game.

"First of all, I have to say that the fans tonight were amazing. We were behind twice, and they kept shouting and cheering for the team for a full 90 minutes, which is exactly what we need, especially in the away game. The away game is always hostile, but we can clearly hear the shouts of our fans, which pushes us forward. We can fight back when we are behind, which is a positive signal, the team's cohesion and chemistry are getting better and better."

"I feel we have to play better at the start and show our pressing and strength faster, we have to win the ball first, I think that's the key, we have a lot of great players, but if you don't work harder than your opponent, it's always difficult to score three points in the Champions League, and the team always needs to be looked at and improved, and keep moving forward on that basis."
