Frumenense Club Chairman Mario Bitencourt recently made a guest podcast program Setor Sul, and he said that Ronaldo is not interested in playing football in Brazil.

Royce's name has recently been related to many clubs participating in the World Cup. The Portuguese superstar's future is uncertain after his victory contract with Riyadh expires, and there is even news that he may make his debut in Brazilian football.

Bitencourt revealed that he had tested Ronaldo's intention, but the Portuguese superstar clearly ruled out the possibility of playing in Brazil: "This is purely an exploration at the conceptual level. I have contacted Mendes. Although we are not close, we can talk directly. As Ronaldo's long-term agent, he clearly stated that the players have no interest in Brazilian football at this stage."

Bitencourt admitted that although he lobbying on the grounds of "the color of the Fruminense jersey is the same as that of the Portuguese flag", he emphasized that the club did not make an official offer. He also pointed out that safety concerns have become a key factor that hinders the joining of big-name players, and specifically mentioned the shooting of Flamengo goalkeeper Augustine Rossi's vehicle at the highway: "Many players' families were panicked by the security situation in Rio de Janeiro, which has become a practical obstacle to signings."
