German legend Basler said in an interview with Sports that it is unrealistic to pay more than 60 million euros for Waltermad.

Basler said: "The current transfer fee circulating is between 60 million and 100 million euros, which is completely unrealistic. I think Waltermad is an excellent player, but there are no other major achievements except winning a German Cup. From Bayern's standpoint, I would say that transfers of this scale are impossible. I am very happy that Bayern has stated: 'No, this transfer will not happen.'"

Basler believes that Waltermad's transfer fee should be about 30 million to 40 million euros: "I think the other prices are completely over-high."
