24-year-old Moroccan midfielder Neil Enavi officially transferred to Rome from Lens, and was interviewed by the official Rome Club's official TV station for the first time.

How do you feel after joining Rome?

From the moment I arrived at the Rome airport, I was welcomed warmly and I felt the warmth, which made me very happy.

What was the negotiation process between you and Rome this summer?

In the early stages of the negotiations, I had a conversation with Rome's sports director Marasa. But I also want to thank the club owner, management, and everyone in the club for handling the situation so well that my joining went smoothly.

Please talk about your characteristics on the court

I think I am a modern midfielder with strong physical confrontation ability, able to play a role on both offense and defense, can cover most of the court areas, and have the intensity of the game and dedication.

Why did you choose Rome No. 8 jersey?

This is an easy choice to make. I have been a Barcelona fan since I was a child, and my idol is Iniesta.

Do you know Rome coach Gasperini?

I have been following him when I was playing football in France, and he did great things while coaching in Atlanta. He is a coach who loves to play offensive football and I can’t wait to work with him and learn from him. Now I have the opportunity to play with a lot of top players, and I will try to learn from each of them, constantly improve myself and play to the best.

What are your personal goals and team goals?

I hope to get to know the team as soon as possible and help the Rome club return to where it should be. It's a great club and it would be great if you can win trophy here in the future.

Your father is a professional tennis player, but he has always loved football. And you ended up being a professional player

My father never forced me to make choices in tennis and football, it was me who chose football since I was a child. But I didn't give up on tennis either. Sometimes I would play tennis with my father.
