62-year-old retired Miami policeman Marcos Thomas Perez stole more than 400 game jerseys and other souvenirs worn by players during his time as a security guard at the Heat, and earned $2 million in three years by selling more than 100 pieces cheaply by mail.
Perez pleaded guilty today, pleading guilty to transporting and reselling millions of dollars worth of stolen game jerseys and other souvenirs.
Perez will be sentenced on October 31 local time and will face up to 10 years in prison, three years of probation and a fine of up to $250,000.
