Cole: The starting lineup for the opening game has not yet been decided. Bojem will replace Moody. Horford is still subject to discussion.
Today, Warriors head coach Cole accepted an interview with reporters after the team's training.
Cole said: "To be honest, I haven't decided who will start on Wednesday (the opener against the Lakers). Moody can't play, which will be a problem, Podemski will replace him."
Cole mentioned veteran centers Horford and Kuminga as options, but he also said there are many other possibilities. The Warriors don't want to play the 39-year-old Horford for more than 20 to 25 minutes per game, which makes deciding whether to start or come off the bench a little tricky. If he starts and the Warriors hope to maintain their advantage late in games, that means he'll be on the bench for a long time. He said: "What we need to consider is what this means for the rotation and what impact it will have on the bench. To be honest, we have not made a decision yet and we still need to communicate with the players."
