NBA officially announced today that the 2026 All-Stars will start a new competition format of Team USA VS Team World! Two American teams and one world team will participate in a round-robin tournament within the group, with a total of 4 games of 12 minutes each.

In addition, the rules are supplemented. If the voting results fail to select 16 American players and 8 international players (including American players with backgrounds from other countries), then Commissioner Silver will select more All-Star players to join any group to meet the minimum number requirements. In this case, at least one team will have more than 8 players.
